Every year in the fall we request for proposals for funding. The deadline for the current club year is September 21, 2012. Check if your organization meets our RFP Criteria. Download a Request for Proposal.
HANDS ON PROJECTS FOR ORGANIZATIONS
SIDT is always looking for hands on projects in the local community. We have a small yearly budget for supplies, but we are generally looking for projects that require “sweat equity”. Projects must be for the benefit of women and/or girls. If you have a project your organization would like to propose please, contact us.
SATURDAY OF SERVICE
Saturday of Service is always the first Saturday in March. All over our Federation, (North America, South America, Japan and Philippines), clubs are doing service projects on the same day. Since this idea started here in Arizona we always participate. If you have a project that needs to be done at that time, please contact us.
Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence
This campaign is an ongoing effort to raise awareness about a little-addressed domestic violence issue: domestic violence as a workplace concern. At SIDT we take it one step further and help prevent domestic violence all year long by providing workplaces with shoe cards and posters to put in their bathrooms with information for victims of domestic violence. Soroptimists Live Your Dream Campaign
The Live Your Dream Campaign inspires women and girls to live their dreams and encourages them to pass on their good fortune to others. We participate by helping 5th grade girls identify their dreams and begin planning their futures. Topics include math skills, goal setting, budgeting, artistic expression, and non traditional career choices.
Soroptimists STOP Trafficking
The goal of the Soroptimists STOP Trafficking project is to raise awareness in the general population about sex trafficking. To that end, Soroptimist has partnered with local groups and looks forward to continue involvement in in this arena. Soroptimist participation
